Beautiful bird and sharp on the shoulder. As a result, the face is a bit soft as it was beyond the point of focus. YELLOWs could be toned down a bit....

For 25+ years I've been teaching folks to focus on the eyes.... With over the shoulder stuff like this you need to focus on the eye or at most, 1/2 way up the neck. Focusing on the side of the bird will kill you but only 100% of the time.
Only a few seconds? I never would have known :). Oftentimes you might have as little as one second or less....

What a pretty species! Yep, if there is to be only one thing sharp in bird photography it needs to the eye/face.
Another thing is that with such low SS you really should raise the ISO (and open up the aperture to better blur the BG in-camera + even more SS). Bumping it to 800 would have given you 1/400s...then opening up to f/5.6 you could get 1/800s...much better for consistent sharpness.
Thanks for sharing this stunning bird!
