Following the back views I posted last week, here is a traditional front view of this beautiful species. Lured to perch via feeder setup...

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/320s., f/6.3, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, FF, darkened pupil, a couple of lighter spots in the BG toned own. Some of the pastel colours in BG enhanced via sponge tool.

I'm not sure which is more stunning -- the bird or the perch! Simply a drop-dead gorgeous image, with the soft color in the BG setting off the bird so beautifully!

Fantastic shot with a beautiful bird ad perch. I really like the intense look in the eyes and the smooth background.

Too beautiful. Soft light. Great perch. Everything else perfect: position, pose, and head angle.

Another sweet image of this species Daniel. The detail is killer and the pose and perch look great too. Very nice.

Dan this is absolutely superb, the colours and details are exceptionally good, one to be proud of. The perch and background really display the bird to max potential.

Very nice one Daniel. Love the lively perch, light and bird, especially the fine feather details on face.

Daniel, it's a truly gorgeous image! Wonderful soft background, and a very interesting perch. I like the color match between the bird's bill and the Spanish moss (or lichen?) just below the bill. Great HA, super sharp, and no distractions to pull the eye away from the subject.
