Trying again to make something of this image. It was taken years ago and failed as a landscape image because the foreground was out of focus. At the time I was unaware of proper landscape technique, but enough of the disclaimers...
This time I used several mixer brushes - a watercolor brush for the water and sky, and two small oil brushes for the foliage and mountains. There are thousands of brush strokes in this image, plus a couple of textures added. Every bit of the image has been painted over.









although restoring old photos and hand-tinting is tedious at times. It looks very nice. I agree about a crop at the top, maybe just above the longer darker cloud.

I can see the small marks that Gary mentioned also.
