This young tiger cub was photographed at our Zoo, I framed it in such a way as to avoid distracting man made elements and liked the way the other OOF tigers made up for a NICE orange back drop, Also it gave an idea of the size of the little one.

Hi Sanjeev, really like the facial expression and light on the cub. Techs looks good, but again I feel removing the 1.4 would have been better and allowed more options on the final framing. Would have liked the adults rear legs to have been all in frame. Will leave it for others re colour, but looks sharp to me on the laptop.

    Hello Sanjeev,

I really like your thinking and planning here, but I tend to agree with Steve regarding the adult's rear legs, I so wish you included them. Subject very sharp, great colours, well done to capture such a lovely expression on the cub's face. Love that raised paw

    Kind regards,

Hi Sanjeev - pp, sharpening and colors all look good. I too agree with Steve on the comp and framing. Cute cub and hopefully you got some shots with the cub isolated.

    Rachel

Darling cub and already powerful looking paws! I am distracted by the brightness of the tiger across the back as my eyes keep darting up to the brightest part of the image. I would consider reducing both the saturation and the brightness of that tiger.

What a great looking little tiger! The cut-off legs on the adult don't really bother me and, in fact, if they were present they might draw my eye away from the little one. I would be inclined to crop below the eye of the adult as that eye keeps drawing mine away.

Hi Sanjeev, now back I would say light and colour look spot on. The only area I would clone out or deal with is the hotspot in the BKG roughly 2 inches down from the head of the LH tiger.

My only 'overall' wish, was that this was captured in the wild, but great to see this little fellow who looks in prime condition. If you ever get to Ranthambore let me know.

Thanks everyone. Steve, I so wish I could see a cub in the wild. I had seen a couple of them with the mother at the Tadoba reserve a couple of years ago. Surely, will let you know when I am headed to Ranathambhor Park.
    cheers,
    sanjeev

Lovely light and colours do look spot on, as does sharpness.
I agree with Steve, shooting at 500mm would have given you more options and allowed the feet in front to be "in". Easy to say in hindsight, I know.
These are such beautiful cats - living in India, have you been to the famous parks where you can see them in the wild?
