I was inspired from Dennis' image so I dug this up from a trip to Buenos Aires. They have all this amazing crypts, statues of bronze and marble, some from the 1700's. Some of the crypts are in disrepair and have been left to fend for themselves as all the family members have died and there is no money to keep them up.
Too many tweaks to keep track. I was trying to emphasize the light coming in on the statue.

This is beautifully done technically and artistically. The range of tones is wonderful, and the contrast between the railing and cross and the walls and chamber is just perfect. It's good that you were able to get the camera high enough to show the relief on the front wall of the chamber.

Not only final, but perfect as well! Every straight line, every curve, every texture - just perfect. The first thought that came into my head when I saw this image was "light in time of darkness". Very nice work Jackie.

This is beautiful Jackie. I also like the full range of blue tones, and I especially like the variation in light in this image. It's very compelling.

Jackie, this is superb. The others have mentioned the particular aspects of the image that stand out.

Your title is very appropriate. I like that this is done all in tones of blue as that is the color we associate with the heavens. The inner glow is perfect and well set off by the dark outer edges. I do like your centering of the image as it draws you evenly and directly into the image and the symmetry of the surrounding edges creates a perfect frame.

Outstanding! Love the blues. You achieved your goal in emphasizing the light--it seems the glow from within. Excellent geometric shapes. I like the details in the lines.

Thanks for the comments. This marble statue was so beautiful. The hair on the woman was carved into roses at the end. It was stunning to see. (although a little hard to discern at this resolution).

Beautiful cool glow with the feel of a cyanotype.
