    Default Canon 1Dx Af microajustament

    Hello
I made a control by Reikan FoCal program about Af adjustament of my Cann 1Dx
    I tested Canon 300 f.2,8 Is I and Canon 500 f.4 Is I and extender (1,4 III and 2x III)
The result was from -12 to -8 in accordance with the different kind of lens.
What you think about ..could be fine sent the camera to assistance (if there is a problem it is in the camera becouse the same situation with different lens) or it is in tollerance and could better make only the af adjustament as found by the program ?
    Thanks

We might have a slight language problem here, but I think that I understood. Were images with your 1D X and various lens combinations soft before the micro-adjustment. Are they now sharp?

You should now be getting super-sharp images, assuming proper technique and settings. No offense, but shooting super-telephoto lenses requires some practice. Until you've master it, you'll need to keep striving and improving. For now, assuming that you're still developing skills, you can test AF with static targets on a tripod, with remote release, etc.

If you send it to Canon they'll only adjust the lens/body combinations as has already been done. Don't worry about if it's within tolerance before correction, so long as your happy with the result.

I've read that the super-telephoto lenses rarely need adjustment -- the tolerances have been tightened up. With my 5D3 the 300 f/2.8 and 600 II are right on, with and without TCs, measured with LensAlign.

I suppose one body could be adjusted poorly, although I'd be surprised that the1DX would be.

The adjustment changes you measured seem extreme. Did you repeat the measurements, maybe with a different system like the LensAlign? And as David said, is focus better now?

I tried many times and also for me the measured is exteme. It Is very difficult say very well if now it is fine ..but I think the camera could be no right becouse I made measuement with different lens...
So , I think, could be fine send the camera to the assistance (I talked with them and they think could be possible a problem about the camera)
They, at the moment, will verify the camera ..so then I could try again but I will be sure that camera is ok
    Thanks for your help

Yes, it sounds like the next step is to have the camera checked. Let us know what you find!

I agree with Diane, let the camera be checked by the Canon service. I did micro adjustments for my 4/70-200L IS (needs some even after being sent to Canon but a lot less then before Canon had it).
My telephoto lenses don't need any with the 1DX (I use the 4/600 II, 4/300 and 4/200-400 1.4x). If more then one lens is off as you wrote, I would definitely send it to Canon.

Minus 12 to 8 is not that big of an adjustment if it was around 20 in either direction I would be worried
You can send the camera in but more then likely canon will send it back telling you it is within tolerance

I don't quite understand your question either, but I wouldn't say the M-adjustments are extreme, it isn't surprising as you are using an old lens. If you are happy with the end result why the hassle of shipping your gear ? Also make sure you are seeing a difference in real world before trusting the software results.
