SODDY ROOF - THEME

I like the patterns, texture, and opposing lines. The colors work well together, but it took me a while to accept the oranges -- especially in the upper right. I think it was because I brought with me a different view of the roof. After looking at it a couple times and adopting an open perspective, I like your interpretation.

Hard times for the soddy! I like the lines running mostly on a diagonal and the three bold squares of the tar paper. Nicely processed Gary.

I'm so glad you have a picture of the roof! Your processing really highlighted the wonderful lines and interesting details. I especially like all those tiny nails sticking up! I wonder, are those patches tar paper or maybe flattened out tin cans? Anyway, they are a good focus point. Very well done!

Hi, Gary, thanks for sharing the OP - it helps to see what you started with. It's an interesting mix of states of decay and differing modes of repair - it kind of looks like my barn The processing looks great and I like the different shapes and textures as well as the organic colors.

Good subject Gary, and you have lots of interesting perspectives - all of which have strong geometrical qualities. Your processing definitely brings out the lines and tones, very nice. My only other comment is that my eye wants to follow that left-most piece of metal that intersects the top of the frame, and thus leave the frame. I would be very tempted to edit the metal panel so it does not touch the top of the frame, but that's just one thought...
