Spectacular moment captured. Extremely beautiful composition with beautiful looking flash all around him. Tack sharp head.

Action captured very crisp here, well done Grace.

Did you use pre-focus with the big rig, or focus tracking?

I found following the action with a 600(1,4) very difficult, even with bumping the focus while back focussing.

This image really kicks butt, Grace! I love that tremendous splash and the fact that you can see the duck's head is a huge plus.

You could call this one Belly Flop!

Amazing image Grace. Just love the splash here and your high SS helped freeze it perfectly. The perfect bird angle contributes to the success of this image. Comp'd beautifully. I always look forward to viewing your images!

Excellent dynamic landing pose captured, Grace. The framing fits the action very well.

Grace, this is a solid action shot! The bird is exceptionally clear, and the water splash doesn't obliterate the head. Liking this one a lot. -R

Nice action shot Grace, perfect timing.. Is this an Eider..? If so, you could have called it Eider Down...
