Taken at a new location in Cape Breton- East Bay
The light was great because there was a little snow squall over the lake but the sun was shining through a cloud break in the west.
I like the markings on his/her face. She looks like a bandit.

I do wish that the tip of the bill didn't merge with the far wing but I can live with it!

Lovely image, Gail, and I like the extra space you've given it on the left.

Pretty neat to see the different plumage. I like the snowfall. Good composition. I know what you mean about the bill, but we sometimes gotta take what we got! There is a harder edged branch near the ULC that I would likely smoothen a bit.

I like winter BIF images, as the snow helps to evenly light up especially the under part of the birds as it seen here.
Great full wing stretch pose, dramatic sky and good image design, Gail.

This is lovely...the colors of the background are so complimentary to the eagle.

Love the overall setting here, Gail. This is a gorgeous specimen and you've done him justice. Agree re. the bill merge, but doesn't hurt the image because of the contrasting colors. I've got to put Cape Brenton on my list for eagle photography.

Gail that BG atmospheric sky really makes this for me, bill merge maybe a problem for you, but I would not worry at all the rest certainly makes up for any tiny nits like that.
