Nice pose with just the right head turn, Joe. The colors look a little on the cool side. I must admit, I like warm colors.

Nice composition! Love that one leg stand! Good HA. I agree the colour seems a bit cooler, can warm up a bit with Color Balance. Also the image seems a bit soft.

What for a wonderful Heron. I have never seen this one. I like the pose, perch and BG. The grass at the left side is great.
I agree with the above. The bird looks a bit soft.

I love the pose and composition. Nice perch and I love the mosses. With the bird in shade with a bright BG this would have been very nice with a touch of fill-flash IMO. A bit more sharpening for web presentation would not hurt.

Thank you all for viewing, commenting and suggesting improvements to my image. I captured this early in this journey. Major mistakes in exposure that I tried to correct in post processing because I liked the image. I think the softness was a result of reducing noise from poor exposure. I post processed the image again from the beginning. I think this is as good as possible.

Hi, what a gorgeous capture! I feel you can pull exposure back by about 1/2-1 full stop (between -.48 and -.83 on LR5) as this appears washed out and lacking contrast. Also by adjusting clarity slider you will introduce a little bit of edge detail. (+17 LR5) then take a look at W/B as this appears a little green and cool to my eyes. I love that pose and balanced composition in the frame.

Edit-Adjustment suggestions are in reference to your RP.
