The Kiss of Death

Alberta Terminals Ltd., Edmonton, AB, Canada.
Canon EOS 7D | Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS + Kenko 1.4x Teleplus PRO 300 DGX + Canon Extender EF 1.4x II.
Manual mode, 1/2500 sec., f/7.1, ISO 1250, handheld.
Light was about to fade and I was about to call it a day when this Gyrfalcon decided to hunt at the grain terminal for the second time and was able to quickly snatch another unlucky pigeon. This Gyrfalcon flew right in front of us above the fenced off police impound area and disappeared into the roof of a warehouse building on our right.
All C&Cs are welcome!
Thanks,
Raymond

Very nice in flight action shot Raymond. Since you have a uniform blue background if the detail supported it bit tighter crop might let us see the pigeon better.

Cool shot of this Jerkin administering the aerial dispatch. The fact that we can see both the heads well is great and the image looks sharp. Sharp enough that like Ron suggested, I might crop a bit tighter so we can see the action better. Nice job getting this shot.

excellent action and drama, there is too much empty space around the bird. I'd crop tighter

Killer behavior/action captured here, and I am frankly surprised and pleased by the sharpness considering the equipment utilized. I think the subjects are sharp enough with enough details that I'd crop tighter too! I'd go off of left and top.

The title reminds me of the indigenous name of a pit viper! :(
You have captured the peak moment and light could not have been better. A real joy to watch this one.

Well Captured Raymond. I have really enjoyed your series of images. Anther vote for a tighter crop but would change anything else.
