From a truck window, along a roadside (as you might have guessed) in Belize. I liked the 'grumpy old man' appearance of this guy. C&C appreciated as always.

HI! I really like this a lot. The head and eye are super-sharp, the perch is really cool and matches the tones of the hawk a little. I also like the rain drops. It looks like a Coopers Hawk?

    Very nice one Bill!
Cool pose, the rain drops add to the image and love the BG. I do with the perch was smaller but they do choose that and there's nothing one can do about it! I would darken the head a tad if possible.

Nice details and clean BG. The rain adds to the image, and maybe that's why the hawk is grumpy! I wish the HA is a bit better, but may be the hawk is checking out what's on the ground.

Hey Bill, nice one.. I like the bird and I am not fussed about the perch because at the end of the day that is their habitat! like the rain in this also.
    cheers,

Fun to see the hawk in the rain. Nice and sharp with great colors. I would crop a bit from the top and left.

This Roadside Hawk does look quite a bit like the Cooper's and Sharp-shinned.

Hi Marina and Ashleigh: Yes, the orange barring has some resemblance to a Coop. But of course the Coopers and Sharpie are Accipiters, and this guy is a Buteo. They'll look much different in flight.

I like the sharpness, rain, exposure, BG and composition. I have yet to get a good image of the hawk. Well done Bill!

Like everything about this image Bill, but might like to see a bit cropped off the top.

Nice capture Bill, like the overall composition, but perhaps on this one a little off the top may help? Having the rain streaks adds another dimension to the image. Selectively adjusting the blue helps on the post I think and if your ethics allowed, then toning down the larger white streak in the BKG behind the subject would give more prominence IMHO.

    Another nice image.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the comments and suggestions. Computer problems have kept me silent for a few days, but hopefully I'll be up and running again.
