    Default Everglades' Eco Pond update

    Hi Folks,
Decided to take a couple of days off work and went down to Everglades national park and shoot at Eco Pond. This place has been known to be a great place to shoot spoonbills and other typical Florida birds.

This year appears to be a little better than last. At most I saw about 10 spoonbills, several dozen snowy egrets, and a a few dozen white egrets. I also saw several black-necked stilts. There is also an osprey nest on the island as well as a couple of woodpecker nest holes.

Morning activity is definitively the best. Afternoons was almost non-existent.

I have a few pics, but they're not ready yet. I'll post when I get a chance.

Thanks! I saw 25 spoonies on 2-22, and many many others. Much better than last year! I will be headed there Monday Morning.

Sorry for the late response! I became quite ill, and was not able to go. I however, was able to get to some out some, to Wakodahatchee around then. It's looking pretty good!
