    Nice sharp details and matching colour between the grebe and the background. A good incoming or side angle would be better.

    A great pose on this one. Agree it would be better if the bird had not past you. Looks like it might need a slight CCW rotation.

    Nice colors and exposure on this shot and I like the detail in the feathers. I like the calling pose too. Well done

    Thanks for the feedback, regards rotation you may well be right, I did check it but got it a little wrong. The image was taken from a a hide and I was at a slight angle, I used the level ruler on the water line below the bird, I have just checked this gives a false level, I should have used the vertical ruler from the base of the bill to it's reflection in the water. (The only problem with is however is that the bird appears to be swimming up hill!!)

    Sleek elongated pose, and your crop choice fits the pose nicely. I also enjoy the calling pose. Another vote here for a slight counter clock wise rotation. Lovely water colors!
