Very nice Christopher. Love the classic nuthatch pose and clean background. The details are excellent and sharp as well.

It might be just a touch cramped on the head side but not much.

    Cheers,

    Ron

    Well done Chris,
I would say you nailed this one. I find Nuthatches so hard get right and have never been happy with my results. The exposure and IQ look good showing all the detail in the feather. I also like the tree. If you have more on the left I think this would work well in landscape too.

I like the IQ of the bird . I also like the color palette and really enjoy how the colors in the nuthatch match the tree.
Excellent DOF and nice that the nuthatch is almost parallel to the sensor.
My initial thought when I saw this was that the composition isn't quite right.
I think that this would look better as a landscape orientation or keep the vertical but move the bird down in the frame.
    A lovely image,
    Gail

Chris you nailed it - well done, super detail and exposure and a very clean image. The actual composition is ok for me but because he is looking sideways as opposed to downwards the balance doesn't quite work. As suggested maybe a landscape or if possible move the bird downwards.

I like the sharpness, details, clean BG, perch and exposure. I would go landscape on this one if you have it. Very well done Chris.

Sweet pose, nice dark perch and clean bg. I too thought landscape the moment I saw it.

The first thing came to my mind is also the composition. A landscape orientation would probably be better.

Besides agreeing about the landscape comp, the image is great. Nice and sharp and exposed very well. I like the perch and the BG too. Well done Chris
