    Default Laughing Falcon

This was taken a couple of months ago in Costa Rica. I could not get closer to the Falcon so this is a big crop. The BG is OOF mountains. I chose this crop to frame the Falcon in the branches. Some small twigs removed. I know the image is not ideal but I was happy to get this species. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Jim Laughing Falcon is certainly new to me, think your crop works very well with the branches framing the bird ,even with the large crop I would be very pleased with what you have got, thanks a lot for showing this to us.

Beautiful bird, IQ, SH, and BKGR. Though the crop must have been a difficult one you did quite well. I am sure that there are/were several similar options.

    This is terrific Jim.
Love the color of the BG and the perfect pose of the falcon.
You have composed this very nicely.
IQ looks really good. Can't tell it is a big crop at all.
    Well done,
    Gail

I cannot tell it's a big crop either! Exposure, feather details, and composition are good!

I like it a lot, Jim.
It looks fine for a big crop, the framing and comp is really nice.

Very nice, Jim. I like the head turn, and love the framing. IQ looks OK to me. I got a few shots of this species in Belize, but none half as nice as this.

What a beautiful bird, Jim! one that I hadn't seen before. The bird is placed just right and is nicely framed by the branches. Your comp is spot on for my taste. Excellent image.
How big of a crop was it? I wouldn't have known that it's a big crop if you hadn't mentioned.

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. This image is about 40% crop off the original.
