I'm in Lake Erie Liviing Magazine
I don't normally enter photo contests, but last year a local magazine
held a contest. Winners got to appear in a future issue of the magazine
(Lake Erie Living). So I figured, what the heck.
Well I was notified in December that I won first prize. The editor emailed
me and congratulated me on the image. The problem was, I entered three
images. So I had no idea which one won :)
It was one of my gull images. She told me the judges loved seeing the bird
as it was just landing. I didn't have the heart to tell her that it was actually
just drying itself off.
Then I was interviewed. Told the guy I was a bird photographer. What does
he put in the magazine? Amphibious photographer. UGH. Oh well, at least I
know how to spell amphibious now :)
So if you're in the Cleveland area, the issue is out now. Looks like its
carried mostly in CVS, Walgreen's and Giant Eagles.
