Hey Andreas. It should be Sitzas waterhole - big open plain around?
Lovely DOF and soft light with a glint in the eye here, and the apparent low angle is cool too.
Perhaps a bit too "red" for what I've seen of these canids?

Well, if that isn't a "sly as a fox" look! Wonderful details from the tips of the whiskers to the top of the ears. I like that one front foot showing as it connects the very detailed head with the more blurred body behind.

Hi Andreas - I like this a lot. Nice sharpness throughout the face with great detail and low pov. Having only seen this from a substantial distance, I'll leave the color to Morkel.

Andreas, sweet face! Love the sharpness and details on the face and ears, and the multi-color BG. I would wish for a little more DOF so that the fox's front leg in more focus. Amazing that you took this shot from the car window. It gave such an illusion that you were on the ground. TFS. Loi

Beautiful! f/5.6 worked perfectly here, emphasizing the face quite effectively. Love the POV!

Andreas, Ilke the sinister/sly expression and those 2 claws showing, looks cool. Nice comp highlighting those long ears.

Hi Andreas, cute little portrait with bags of detail. Like the low POV and the DoF looks spot on. Great to see the old kit can still pull off the shots. I wonder if a hint more FG would help, looks a little tight IMHO.

I like the glossy eyes, however if you feel inclined you can get a bit more definition around the eyes, albeit small, but as you know, it's just those little, subtle tweaks that can make a difference when you get to this level of imagery.

Thanks folks for stopping and leaving a comment.
    Really appreciate your words.
Morkel - color you are the expert , but i keep as is , sorry , used a setting i created myself , Velvia touch, LAB mode is greeting you….LOL.

Steve - sadly no room in FG , this is vertical crop from a horizontal original , so kit is even better…….as you think if handled properly (PP) .I do not really understand what you mean around the eyes? Lighten the dark parts ?

    Thanks again , Andreas

Hope this helps, also added some mid tone in the ears too.

No worries Andreas, as I said, subtle, but to me it makes a difference.

Hi Andreas, very nice indeed. The eyes are a wow and I was wondering if this chap was crying. For me, just IMHO a tad to glossy, but that is taste as usual.
    Great suggestions above.

    Have a great eve

    Ciao

    Love the squint and angle.

Yah, Mr Kaluski can do subtle changes...

Leg might be bit red, early morning sun can do that.

Might have been @ Dalkeith, there was a den there at the time.
    Regards

    Andre.

Eish, this is what I call "sweet light", Andreas! A beauty, and it looks like she's giving you a "beady eye". So difficult to find these cute little foxes, I fondly remember of one particular female who visited us at the camp every night at Rooiputs in October 2012, she ate my marshmallows and kept coming back for more, but there was no more because I ate them all!!! Stunning image, well processed, great work!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
