    Often overlooked (I often do), these guys have some striking characteristics ... just take a look at that eye!

    Shooting Info:
    Canon 5D3 | 500 f/4 II
    1/2000" | f/6.3 | ISO 800

    Removed a second catchlight and cleaned up a blue patch above the head with the clone stamp tool.

    Agree with Troy- the bill, eye and darker tones are well represented.

    Great job on exposure here. Love all the details in the black feathers. The pose and water are very nice.

    Fantastic image. Very nice pose, great details and superb fine sharpness in blacks. Love the clean smooth beak, eye and water reflection on breast.

    You nailed the exposure and sharpness. I wouldn't have minded if the bill was clear of the feathers, but still a strong image!

    Often most ignored once make very interesting subjects.
    You have made this look smashing lovely
    i love the IQ and the exposure is what is most impressive in here
    you have nailed it perfectly and made a great image of a common bird.
