This guy is my favorite at the Zoo, those light eyes and black/brown stripes on white really draw! There is always a huge crowd of kids and adults to see him. The whites on the shoulder are a bit blown but I tried to recover whatever i could. Hand held with 500 II &1.4X III.

Love the uniqueness of an albino tiger! Very nice little detail with the tongue just showing and having that bright pink nose. Since the tiger is so tight to the right side, I would consider cropping some off the left side, to just before that longest whisker. This puts more emphasis on the face. The fur on the right side just below the ear appears too hot on my monitor.

Hi Sanjeev - other than the highlights on the shoulder which you pointed out, this looks really good. Nice detail and sharpness and the sort of square crop works. I might tone down the brighter specular highlights in the lower left.

BTW I don't think white tigers are considered albino because they retain some pigmentation.

TFS and participating in this month's theme,
    Rachel

Sanjeeve, Other than the dark vertical stripe, you managed to get an almost natural BG, which is not easy for zoo shots. Very nice image. Rachel beat me again on the spectacular highlights on the lower left. As for the recovered highlights on the right, Isee evidence of highlight recovery locally. You mat consider using Curves to blend that spot in with the surrounding. TFS. Loi

Hi Sanjeev, great to see you really pushing the boat out and getting stuck in on the themes.

Overall I like it and as Loi mentioned, you did well considering it was captive and taken in the zoo. My only thought might be is to knock the BKG back a bit and add some overall mid tone. It might be a little too much, but hopefully you get the idea. Like the intense strs and techs look good to.

    Hi Sanjeev,
meanwhile you reached a certain stage in PP which i quite like , congrats on this .
Image works very nice for a Zoo shot.Nice tones and detail all around.Steve took it up a fraction in tonal range, but i am not a big fan of his blur looks too artificial for my eyes.
I think with some work you could get rid of the tree in the BG, which looks even better i guess.

    Nice one , TFS Andreas

I agree Andreas, just threw it in as an option.

    HI Sanjeev,

great work on this Tiger. The highlights have been mentioned already as all other things. I like the square crop very much with this. Very nice done.

    Have a great day

    Ciao

    Anette
