    Default Zenaida Dove

This is a Zenaida Dove which at one point many years ago was a common species in our Island. Now it is considered rare and only found in the east side of the island.

PS. This lens is sharp! :)

Gorgeous bird, Ray. Love the color on the collar. Most doves have an understated beauty which is often overlooked. Nice to see this species which is new to me. Which island is this on?
Congrats on the new lens. Does look sharp indeed. Was a bit more dof possible? Please share exif info.

    Hi Sidharth,

This is the Cayman Islands where I live. Regardin the DOF I wish i had a bit more. I had stopped the lens down to f/4 but the bird quickly started to get closer to me and couldnt stop it down further. At one point I had the full dove in view seocnds later it got so close i had to make the portrait shot above.
