I think a Least Sandpiper..Tiny, tiny gobsmacking cute little guy, never seen one before! Now big thanks to the FL folks who I just know sent this little guy who was unbelievably (this is Ohio remember) tolerant of me sitting on the ground snapping away at relatively close range. Sun angle could have been better, I could have moved, but I was in shock, real shock. Excuse didn't work? Darn:D AKKK streaks across the top have no clue how to start the post over, will repost fix, sorry

Just lovely! I like the composition and the bird (can't help with ID) is nice and sharp and of course, the proverbial low perspective.

Looks good Nonda !!! Does look like a least with the slender slightly curved beak

Good exposure and detail on the bird, also like he pose and could only wish for a slight more head turn. MIght take a little of the top for proportion but do like it as presented. Normally we get them with a sand bg. I like the environment !!!

Thanks for the ID! Alfred I think the crop from the top is a good idea, was waiting for the HAP:) I tried making little noises (don't speak proper Sandpiperese?) and got either this or looking right at me, the coveted 'just a tich' didn't happen. Hopefully I'll get another try,but doubt it, could have set and watched him/her all day, adorable!!!

    Send more nice birds please.

Really nice! Great detail and sharpness and the colors throughout the image are all very complimentary.

Nice!! As said the envroment is great! You might want to try cloning out the 'donuts' in front of the bird. Another ID clue for the least sandpiper is the yellow legs. Well done!!
