    Default Screech Owl

This image was taken the evening they fledged. This was the last one from 3 babies leaving the nest. They would come out of the nest and then walk out on the limb to have their parents guide them to the next safe place. A small amount of fill flash was needed for this image.

Very cool image, looks like it was taken in pitch black and the exposure with the flash looks good to me, I only wish that I could see both owl eyes looking straight ahead staring.

I actually have one with the owl looking straight at the camera. Will post at a later date.

Hi what a cool shot! I agree with Dave that it would be great to see this looking straight at you. I don't know much about using a flash but there is a really pretty yellow color of the Screech's eye that may get bleached out when using a flash so be careful.

Superb image. Cool pose, nice details, perch, dark BG and composition.
