    Tripod Canon 7D Canon 500mm f4 L, ISO 400+1, 1/1000 sec, f5.6
    Image taken in The Gambia, had to clean up the background a little and desaturate the reds. I think it is a wasp that he has caught.
    (I can now spot a little cleaning up that needs cleaning up!)

    Nice, Jon. Great subject, perch, background, color and sharpness. Very good as is, but would have been even better if the bird at made better eye contact with you.

    I like the sharpness, catch, beard and beak details. A new bird for me. Nice image Jonathan.

    Hi Jon, a species I havent seen before, and I bet you were pleased to capture it too. Interesting colour to the eye, and you have done with those deep reds, together with the blacks. His food item a bonus.

    This is magnificent image of beautiful Barbet, Jonathan.I like the pose, nice eye,wasp, colors, fine details and composition.
    Love the beard. Seeing for the first time. TFS.

    Different and very nice! I wonder if there is a little more detail to be pulled out of the darks, though.
