I took a drive through the nature reserve close to my house last weekend, and although not too busy with subjects, I did manage this weaver having a full go. This location always produces great BG's. Taken early morning from my car.

Excellent pose and sharp details, Stu. Love the clean bg and the balanced perch. I'd crop a bit from the left and add a bit to the right, but comp is such a subjective thing.

Really a killer image, Stuart. Love the perch, the BG, the ruffled feathers and the calling pose. It all came together nicely.

I like the calling pose, showing the tongue. I also like the nice smooth and complimenting background, Stuart. Great work.

You nailed it Stu - as usual! The little pointy tongue adds interest, exposure colours detail etc idyllic. Composition works well for me.

Stuart the BG complements the bird beautifully, when it comes to composition recon I'm the worlds worst but I might take a tad off the left, the relaxed pose with those fluffed out feathers really makes it for me.

Beautiful image. Like the singing pose and the composition. The clean BG is super and fits wonderful to perch and bird. Well done, Stuart.

Excellent image Stuart! I like the calling pose, tongue, exposure, perch and BG. I like Sidharth's composition suggestion.

The BG, detail and the pose really make this one for me Stuart. Cool look at the tongue also. It all came together nicely here. Good job.

I just love that yellow gold SA background.
I like the way the plant sits in the frame and where you have placed the bird.
IQ and light are topnotch and the singing pose adds a lot,
    Gail

Stunningly beautiful background and light, Stuart. The singing pose is cute as is the way she's holding onto the perch for dear life. Thanks for posting this beauty.
