This was taken last month in Costa Rica. I used a banana to attract the birds. I couldn't get them on a smaller perch in the short time I had with them. I was surprised how small they are. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Whoa-colours are amazing, love the foot position. I would crop the bottom a hair and if the top of the light blue crest could be more crisp. + or - EC? I have friends in CR who want me to visit- are the lighting and ease of set up easy or difficult?

Hi Jim, striking colours, and you managed a lovely pose. I like the diagonal perch through the frame, and your vertical looks good.

Cute bird with awesome colours. Good vertical comp and details. I only wish the furthest 1/2 of the body was more parallel to the sensor.

Colorful bird. Love the eye contact. Perch and BG works good. The bird seems a bit jumpy

Absolutely splendid, Jim. I've see this bird in the wild, but I've never seen a better photograph of one.

Very nice indeed Jim, how I wish I could see them again. Color is spot on and so hard to get the black right without blowing the crown.
