This is an oldie but one of my favorites using DOF. I was photographing the sunset on the fishing pier and it started sprinkling so I got in the car but the gal fishing didn't leave as it was so light. I used Topaz Adjust and added a cracks texture to make it more OOTB.

Judy I really like this, the colours, the blur. I think I might leave out the cracks as I find it OOTB enough for me.

This is nicely composed, and I like the combination of the sunset and rain on the windshield. I'm not sure, but I think I agree with Jackie about the cracks. When first looking at this, I couldn't help but feel sorry that something had happened to your windshield, and that diverted my attention.

This one is well balanced, has a nice composition and gives the feeling of actually being there. I feel that the crack in the window has a lot to do with that feeling, it looks and feels very realistic It imposes a sense of placement and dimension to the windshield and the viewer, whereas the water drops alone might not work in the same manner.

Thanks Jackie, Dennis and Randall. I decided to rework the image from scratch making it larger in the process, and leaving off the cracks. I first used Topaz Adjust as it basically had very little color, then I added a Doug Landreth texture that I bought recently and desaturated that a bit as it was too yellow-orange to suit me and made it just a little redder.

I like the repost, Judy, with its more saturated colors. Like Dennis, one of my first thoughts was "Oh No" you have a badly cracked windshield! But I probably would not have thought that if I didn't know the photographer.

I like this a lot. Beautiful colors. The water drops create an interesting texture. The oof is perfect, yet clear enough to know what it is. I like the second post, as it is brighter. I like it without the cracks, but also with the cracks--with the cracks is a humorous version in which I'm thinking that the windshield is cracked. Very nice work.

Thanks Nancy and Anita. Yes, I also thought the cracks added a touch of humor.

Judy, love the layers of color and simple composition. I prefer the second image.
