    Default Sharpening settings in camera?

I too have followed the sharpening comments in the forums and would say it is over my head but find it very interesting and have gained insight on this topic.Being new to photography i am having trouble setting my in camera settings canon 5D mark 11. I ordered arties and arash,s dpp guide and noticed that you don't want to over sharpen a raw file. I have set my camera on a neutral camera style and set the in camera sharpening on a three. It can be set up to seven. I have all the other settings at 0 for contrast and saturation. Originally I had set to landscape picture style .Should I go back to the landscape setting for a better out of camera look.It seems like when i go to post edit I am having some trouble getting the look i want for saturation ,contrast and sharpening. Maybe I have cut back my settings too much.Any suggestions appreciated

Hi Kevin, If you are shooting in Raw leave your picture style on neutral and bump the sharpness up to 5 since this is only affecting the JPEG preview on the LCD. you can choose what ever picture style u want during the Raw conversion and set your sharpness as needed. If u are shooting jPegs then u need to choose your picture style in camera along with sharpening stregth.
