Good Evening everyone, I had the first batch of Grackles and Starlings show up today, warm weather will be here soon..... I hope. Here is the local Sheriff that was enforcing the No-Fly, trespass, feed or generally come into the zone of enforcement a year or so ago,. Always quite a sight to see these guys chase any other Hummer who dared invade the zone. No matter how many feeders there were, the only other allowed to catch a drink would be the female, even then He would not leave a feed as you may zone. Watching them facing off flying straight up in the air poking at each other is pretty amazing. always fun to watch them non stop in defense of their nectar, as most here already have see, Incredible 2 oz. bundles of energy for sure, can't wait for their return.
Thanks very much for looking in,

    Bret,

This is a different take on the hummingbird shot. The ruffled feathers are quite a treat and she looks like she's staring right at you (maybe wondering why you're taking a photo!).

The background looks a bit weird. Not noisy, but overprocessed maybe?

Nice, love the ruffled feathers and a lot of detail without a flash.
    Nice work.

Very nice photo. I like the pollen residue on the head and bill.

Hi Bret, lovely lookback pose, and the light has brought out the green iridescence on the ruffled feathers nicely. Im surprised you achieved good DOF with your combo, and that you were only 6.5m away. I could see this as a vertical too.

Unusual hummer image and I like it a lot. BG is pretty noisy; apart from that it is a winner for me. Nice work.
