When I was first taking photos of this guy, I wondered why it wasn't called a Ring-billed ... and I think this photo helps illustrate the ringed neck. Subtle, I know, but it's there. I chose to post this because of the pose more so than the neck.

Cropped slightly from FF, removed some white spots from the crest, and darkened the pupil via a blank overlay layer and 3% black brush.

    Shooting info:

    1/2500" | f/8 | ISO 640

    Miguel,
I like your shooting angle and the IQ on this and the other you posted.
I don't get these ducks where I live and I love the Bill.
I think the shadows hurt the images, too much Albuquerque sun…..

This is really nice, Miguel. Love the pose, details and the water smoothness and color.

Great exposure and details. Eye looks great and love that water and downward angle of head.

    Hi Miguel,
I really like the pose and the IQ is excellent.
I agree the blacks could be a bit more detailed but still a great image and not a deal breaker.
Bright cloudy is the best light for these difficult black/white ducks,
    Gail
