Default Theme: To Boldly Go Where No Focus Has Gone Before

So, among the reasons I had for getting a tilt/shift was to be able to shoot down at the ground at an angle and get every thing in focus... mainly I was thinking of the beach, shooting down at the water/sand as the water receded without getting too wet. Uh, so that's what this shot is sorta. The circular blobs are oof reflections of the sun on bubbles as the water recedes from a wave. the larger blobs are foam with the many bubbles each reflecting the sun. The tilt is used here to present (more or less) the same level of oof on the bubbles from top to bottom of the frame (these are point lights made into circles by being oof).

Low Key processing and some saturation oomph pulling out the bubble color.

Thanks for looking. Hope the description wasn't to confusing.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

An interesting image. I like that the different types of blobs are distributed around the entire image.
Am I right that everything is a bit out of focus?

Michael, very abstract. It reminds me either of space or deep under the ocean. I assume some of the oof spheres are bokeh?

    Anita, Cheryl,

I should have mentioned that I took this during the textures theme and the shot was taken completely oof. So, it is sorta all bokeh (if that makes sense) where a point of light glinting off the bubbles is made into the circles in the image. I used one less clumpy for the texture in "Walking in the Light" (12/17/13) for the textures theme.

As always, I much appreciate your comments.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

I love this. It could be a shot of bacteria, or some inner working of the body. Love the circles with looks like CA of green around them. Very creative!

This is super cool! Love the variations in the circles and that the clumps are lots of little circles with colors. The varying depth of blurs makes it feel like it is flowing. My idea of the universe with the golden bkgd being the sun.

I like your creative use of the tilt-shift lens and the way it turned out. It's a very nice abstract image which demonstrates that out-of-focus can be a good thing.

I'm late as I somehow missed it before, but I like all the little colored bokeh effect bubbles and think it would make a nice texture.
