    Default SNOW EATER

From my snow days series. We do not receive much white gold here in the valley, so I spent as much time out imaging with some success. The white-throated has been coming to our yard for 4 years and are secretive. Sparrows are a good photo challenge and I hope you/all enjoy the 'snow eater' and the spirit he displays.

    Superb image, Douglas.
I like the pose, colors, snow fall and BG. Would crop on the top and I think sparrow can take another round of sharpening, especially the head.

    Satish.

You have just the right amount of snow falling.
I quite like the pinkish color in the BG. You also got a nice body position that is almost parallel to the sensor.
The sparrow is not quite sharp- hopefully another round of sharpening will resolve this issue. Your SS was only 1/250 which is pretty slow for these fast moving birds. I don't even try to shoot these little birds at less than 1/800.
I don't know how you feel about cloning but I would clone out the 2 branches intersecting with the sparrow and the one directly in front of the sparrow.
    Gail
