    Lewis' Woodpeckers are not common in our area but this one has been visiting our feeders for the last few days. Comment and critique welcome.

    Hi dona, really like the curved perch and the BG alot. Wish the light on the bird wasnt so harsh though! times like this can make you wish for a could or 2.
    Also the image looks a little pixelated around the head, was it a big crop?

    Robert, thank you for commenting on my Lewis' Woodpecker image. It is not a large crop, only cropped to vertical. I don't see the pixelation on my monitor.

    I like the composition, the colors on your subject are pleasing. It looks like you lost details on the vertical tail..:eek:

    Hi Donna Could have used some fill flash here. The light seem to be from the right making the front head area and breast well lit. The rear of the bird starts to look dark !!!

    Do like the pose, perch and beautiful bg !!! I like the vertical composition a lot !!!
