I captured this image of the heron trying to stay warm at Merritt Island NWR, Merritt Island, Florida. I was shot from a wooden blind that the park service has built for photographers.
Nikon D7000, Nikon 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF shot at 210mm, 1/1250, F/8, ISO500, post processed in Lightroom 5, vertical crop from original horizontal.
