    Default White Pelican

This White Pelican was working around some mangroves in Ding Darling and he swam right into this bit of sunlight.
Nikon D300, 200-400 mm at 330 mm, 1/800 sec, f6.7,iso 200. Although mostly in the shade, background was darkened more, eye lightened slightly. This was very tight as shot, so I've added some canvas to the left and top but can't decide if that's enough. All comments appreciated.

It works very well for me -- gorgeous light and processing on the bird!!

Hi John, I like this image a lot. Very dramatic lighting and nice details in the whites.
I feel it could use a hint of CW rotation.
I particularly like the wavy reflection.
I would clone out the little orange blobs above the pelican,

I like how the pelican stands out in the dark BG. I think it needs some CCW rotation. Interesting image John.

Great shot with perfect exposure control. Like the colors and details. I agree with the comments above regarding the rotation
