    Default White-fronted Terns

There are two NZ Endemic bird species in this picture taken yesterday.
White-fronted Terns which have annual migrations from New Zealand to Australia and Grey Teal which have had a massive increase in numbers in recent years.
The terns were perched on rocks which were getting submerged due to incoming tide and shorly later nealy all had left.
Birds taking off when others are on the ground or water are tricky as best not to pan but fortunately I was focussed on the birds as they took off so did not require a panning pix.

Interesting collection of subjects. Color balance seems way, way off and the terns are unfortunately stacked one atop the other... Though I often like dark or light strips as borders the black one here does not work for me.

    Thanks for commenting Artie.
I think the taking of the picture partially towards the sun may be a factor towards colour balance.
However I will have another play at editing to see whether I can improve in this area.

Thanks to Artie's observations I have re-edited this image to change colour balance and delete frame.
    Any further comments most welcome.

Yes, much better on the color balance. I healthy crop from the bottom would improve it further, but without a pleasing pattern of the birds (with better spacing) the image is unfortunatley doomed.
