Light source for all flight shots is the sun, late afternoon sun brings out the warm tones. Post processing was cropping (cropped from horizontal).

I find that the plumage fine detail seems a bit smooth? Not sure if you ran NR on the bird (I presume you generally don't and probably haven't here)...?

Thanks Morkel. No NR. plumage looks good to my eye. Not sure do you guys have northern harriers in south Africa?

Looks sharp to me and the plumage looks like it should. Sometimes Harriers have a little soft look to their plumage but this one looks nice. Love that light and the HA and wing position looks great too. I like the tighter comp showing the detail well.
