    I mistakenly thought that the tribute to Dave Philips lasted until next week, but now I see I've missed the deadline. Oh well....My attempt at creative enhancement of this image of an owl included applying: 1) the glowing edges filter in CS6, 2) the poster edges filter, and 3) a hue/saturation layer in which I increased saturation for magenta only.

    I like the colours and the enhanced magenta. At first I thought you had used Fractalius. I would crop to square to square to eliminate some of the negative space.

    This one reminds me of the Light-Brite toy I had when I was a kid- I agree with cropping some of the negative space out. Other than that, it's too free form to really critique but I do like how attention is brought to the eyes.
