    Default Kingfisher with snack

    I had not much opportunity to get images of this little guy on the wing. This was one of the closest encounter, but it is still quite a heavy crop.
    Took this image at the local pond about three weeks ago.
    5D3, EF 400 5.6, f/5.6, 1/3200s, ISO 800, HH.

    This is not an easy shot (you need stacks of patience as well as a bit of luck) so you've done brilliantly! Well done!

    I like the action and the splash, the KF is quite soft though and doesn't show much details.

    Pretty neat action, but I agree, the heavy crop took its toll on the image. Perhaps you'll get better chances from closer...all part of the fun and addiction of bird photography!
