    This swan was flapping around althoug no blows were landed, his counterpart soon backed down. Canon 40D 300mm f4 IS 1/640 a/v 6.3 ISO 100 Not sure what kind of swan it is, maybe someone out there may know. This photo was taken at Watermeade lakes Leicestershire UK

    Looks like a Mute Swan.

    You certainly capture the spraying action nicely. Image in general seems to lack punch though, needs more saturation (especially the bill and blue water) and perhaps also a slight contrast boost. Could use more room below too and to a lesser degree at right too. Did you manage some frames with both birds going at it?? :-)

    Welcome Robert. Daniel's critique is right on. A bit more sharpening and contrast would help this a lot.

    Thanks for the input, i will try that, i did not get any shot of the other bird as it was over in seconds, however i did get about 6 shots of this one using the burst mode. Maybe i will photoshop a couple of them and see what the members think.
