I am really liking the perch and color palette of this image!!! The details in the feathers are awesome. I would take a bit off of the top and wish the bird were looking a little more toward the viewer. Regardless, this is a fine image.

A beautiful species in my book. Wish for eye contact, and I feel the neg space on top is too much.

Would take a fair bit off the top.
I see by your description you like the "meditational look" so it works for me. I might add a bit of canvas on the left if it is your intention to highlight the "looking off into the distance" .
I see a magenta cast in this image and that is easily remedied in PP.
Good IQ and iridescence shown in the feathers,
    Gail

Outstanding image of this species. I tiny bit of head turn would have been welcomed.

A very colorful Boat-tailed, I don't think I have seen one with all these colors before, Grand job!

A really fine shot, I may be a bit piccy here but I get the impression the head/bill isn't just quite sharp, not sure if a tad more sharpening would help. Was the focus point on the head or wing?
