    Captured this image in Cedar Key, Florida. Very harsh afyernoon sun. PP on a low-end monitor while traveling. Histogram shows whites okay, but inside edge of left wing looks a little blown on this monitor...

    Great looking take off pose and I like the wing position and the perch. Overall good looking exposure and detail. Well done

    You did the best you could with impossible light. Personally, I avoid it and shoot early am or last light most of the time. The eye could be sharper, I think burning the pupil could help that.

    I wonder if you could go for more shadow and highlight detail (effectively lowering contrast a little) with the Shadows and Highlights sliders in LR, but maybe this is as far as you could go. Good job for harsh sun -- it might not give the most pleasing results, but I'll take what I can get in any light.
