    Got lucky with this Shrike that was very cooperative, unlike most that fly off quickly.

    Elegant, sleek and simple. The pose is helped by the minimal perch.
    Seems like a classic piece of modern furniture.
    The only change I'd consider would be to slightly increase the contrast.

    Excellent image with very nice IQ, Glenn. Love the wonderful details in grey and whites.Nice composition too.

    Great looking shot Glenn. The pose, perch, detail and exposure all look perfect. I remember this Shrike. Good work.

    Lovely and elegant in its simplicity. I don't know the bird's color but the top of the head has a blue cast --here's a neutralized version, for what it might be worth.

    I also thought the OP had a bit of a bluish cast to it, so Diane's repost does it for me. Nice simple image design, just wish the head was not turned so much. A tough species to photograph!
