    Have not posted for a while due to the bad weather here in the UK,managed to get out the other morning and get this image,I had to be quick,this Blackbird had been feeding below this perch ,in the frosty grass,then it flew up on to this perch just for a few seconds,had to be quick.cannon 500mm IS L F4,ext 1/4,7D,monopod, ISO 1250,F5.6,1/400S,cropped and sharpened,touch of NR in BG.thanks for looking.

    Neat subject and posture. Nice perch. The light quality is sweet, but wish it was more directly from behind you as the front of the bird and the perch are in shade. The BG looks good for the most part...with the one brighter streak touching the head being unfortunate. From the sounds of it you needed quick reflexes, good job.

    Good job on the quick grab Chris. Nice pose and perch. The detail looks good too. I too wish the light was behind you as the breast would be covered better. Well done
