    For a change I decided to post an old snowy image from 2012 when I traveled to WA to photograph these owls with Doug. It was a fun trip.


    1D4 500 + 1.4X III f/5.6 1/1000sec ISO 2000 handheld.

    Hi Arash, you had just the perfect light for snowy owl here, enough to get the eyes sparkled and with good 3-D look, but the owl's eyes are wide open. Now that I have photographed them, I get to appreciate such small details a lot more. Lovely portrait that shows the species well. TFS. Loi

    Awesome! Love the perch and bit of vegetation at bottom. The winter snow cover up here make for cleaner feet and tail!

    One of my favorites of your static shots Arash. Great pose and light on this one and I like the smooth BG with a little habitat included. Very nice eye contact. Well done

    Lovely portrait, Arash. As soon as I saw the perch and BG, I knew it had to be from WA. You sure have lucked out in the snowy (and other) depts.
