Crested Caracara in Flight
Another one from Corpus Christi. Just outside the Naval Base.
A couple of the sat in grass like Bunnies . I found it difficult to guess what they were at first but the moment my car stopped they stood up and I knew. They took off almost instantly. I was able to pan because of the clear clean snmooth BG, the Gulf of mexico.
5D3+700mm, F5.6, ISO 500, 1/4000 Handheld, Cropped close to show off the feather pattern.
Not sure how to remove the first / wrong image I posted please critique the second Image below-

I like how you placed the bird on an angle in the frame. You did well with pp on the contrast helping the bird pop more. The fanned wing tips are great too

Like the pose, sharpness, detail of this beautiful bird. The BG is very nice. Is it the water. not sky? TFS. Loi

Nice diagonal banking pose and I love the split primaries. Neat BG with a bit of variation in it. The tip of the bill is lost in the bright neck plumage, but from the pose not much you could do in-camera. Perhaps trying some subtle burning on there...
