You did a great job with this. I like the angle, the colors, and the amount of motion.

Great Cheryl. A really fun image. I never realized what a powerful effect Dave had on everyone, til I see all these wonderful pictures from everyone this week.

What a creative idea. You found the perfect subject--whimsical, comical, sitting just right. The colors are marvelous. I'd like the bench behind the subject to be a little clearer.

Thanks, Dennis, Jackie and Anita. Anita, she was sitting on the very end of the bench - I would have liked more bench too. It's funny, I worked on this before I found Dave's image on his webpage and I remembered the image as the bench being stationary and the figure moving and I couldn't figure out how to do that. I was pleasantly surprised after doing my image to find that his bench moved also

Ah, sitting at the end of the bench. It isn't a big deal. I like this!

Awesome motion blur behind the critter! I guess I would prefer to have her a bit more to the right in the frame so there is more in front where she is looking. She is quite the critter!

I like this image a lot. After viewing Dave's web site, I understand the respect and admiration expressed by those who knew him. Hats off to the creator of the alligator vamp. Cheryl, how did you create this effect?

Thanks, Gary. It actually was very simple. I took the base image, did a duplicate layer and then applied Filter>Motion Blur in the direction and strength I wanted. Then I lowered the opacity of the layer so that I could see what I was doing, added a layer mask and painted the gator back in. I'm not much good at selecting things or complicated masks but my technique works for me.

Thanks Cheryl for the nearly immediate reply. Motion blur, another filter activated for the first time.
