I think of this as a landscape shot because of the sky and tree silhouette. There's a hawk sitting on a limb, but I consider as providing scale, like some humans in the foreground of a huge mountain.

I love tree silhouettes -- shot some this morning but not with such wonderful color in the sky! I love the amount of tree and composition. I like how the band of dark at the top balances the dark at the bottom.
Nice simplistic mood here David. I do think the tree is a bit busy, which is a pity and there's not much you can do about that. One reason for this desire is to also have had the hawk more defined and etched on a single branch, that would have had more impact IMHO.
