Hi Mike - great pose and sharpness. Looks like the light was harsh but you handled it well. I'm wondering if it needs a slight amount of cw rotation.

Hi Mike, i have the same thought as Rachel regarding the quality of the light and the CW image rotation. Cool shot. At 125mm, wow! Loi

Awesome shot Mike. Love the pose and peek of the face. I really like the shadow too

Nice pose Mike, shadow is cool and Nice exposure.
Maybe a bit of NR on the BG foliage.

You have a great pose in harsh light but you exposed well for it.
I am not loving the noisy BG and would deal with that. Another thought would be to crop out the Tree line completely and place the owl in the URC of vertical frame , following the rule of thirds.
A really good image of a wonderful owl,

At 125mm I'm assuming this is a baited owl.

Wonderful, even if baited. I love the look it's giving you. I agree with the crop and rotation suggestions.

I am new here and want to express an appreciation for the setting and the BG. In my view, it places the bird in a setting. Love the shadow and capture. My view is that over processing of every exterior element starts to make the bird look too stark with no "home". Learning a lot from everyones comments as I browse all the photos.

Love the flight pose but the quality of this image is not up to your normal standards, Mike. I am seeing noise in the BG and the texture of the snow isn't looking quite right. Love that peek-a-boo stare! Horizon looks good to me, and I like the inclusion of the environment.
