    First Black-Crested Titmouse that I've come across, this was taken a couple of weeks ago when I visited a South Texas hunting ranch.

    Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 500mm f4L IS II, Canon EF 2X III Teleconverter

    1000mm, f8, 1/2500 sec, ISO 1250, Manual Mode

    Although the perch has a ton of character, it is large for the bird.
    The Titmouse looks terrific…...

    Great job getting nice details in your bird. You have a killer BG and a perch with a lot of character. I think this would have worked even better had there not been such a dark shadow on the perch. It's unique, and I always like unique.
